First, you need to think about what toppings you want to include. There are many sweet (and salty!) choices. Here are some ideas:

- yogurt-covered raisins
- sprinkles
- chocolate chips
- caramel drizzle

Setting Up the Popcorn Bar
To set up the table, I used some pink bulletin board paper from the supply closet. I filled the bowls with the toppings and wrote the nap for each topping next to the bowl. I also had some Valentine’s decorations I taped on the table to make it more festive.
Pre-popped popcorn is a quick and easy solution. I happened to have a box of microwavable popcorn so I spent my prep period microwaving in the teacher’s lounge. Then, I distributed a serving size of popcorn into each paper bag. This took a little while. If you have parent volunteers, it would be the perfect job for them!
