FAQs

Q: How long does it take to teach one kit?

A: Each kit was developed to be used for a week at a time. It may take a few additional days depending on the skill. I've spiraled back and repeated certain kits, adding extra layers of challenge to dive deeper into the skill. Since you can use any text, repeated use of the graphic organizers is helpful!

Q: My district uses a reading program. Can this be used along with it?

A: Absolutely! These resources are a perfect supplement to any reading curriculum. Personally, I've used them with Journeys and Benchmark. They are great for whole group shared reading lessons, small group work or interventions.

Q: What grade levels will this work with?

A: Comprehension is embedded into every grade level curriculum and many of these skills span across many grade levels. With that said, the materials included in these resources are best for grades 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Since they can be paired with any level text, the resources are very flexible.
